This years's Birney's Division 2d Battalion drill will be held in partnership with the Army of the Ohio, and hosted by the 6th Ohio Cavalry. The dates are April 20-22, 2012 in Scio, OH (betweet New Philadelphia and Steubenville).
In addition to infantry drill sessions, we will also be conducting a Sunday morning judged tactical involving Confederate infantry and cavalry.
On Friday evening and at times on Saturday, we will be involved in shooting military background scenes for the film "The Light of Freedom" about the Underground Railroad (www.thelightoffreedommovie.com). The film company will be providing Lunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as dinner on Sunday for those who stay that late.
The registration fee for those who pre-register up to and including Saturday, April 7, 2012 will be $5.00 per participant. After April 7th and for walk-ons, the registration fee will be $8 per participant. This activity is being held on private property and the registration fee is to cover portajohns, straw and firewood. Additionally this year it will be necessary for all participants to execute the attached liability waiver. You can download it by clicking HERE.
